What is J1 Visa or Exchange Visitor Program?

J1 Visa or Exchange Visitor Program is a visa designed by US Government to help International Trainees to understand the methodologies, cultural exchange and able for trainees to understand and escalate the knowledge of a certain participants en able for them to impart their knowledge when they return to their country after the training duration in the United States of America.

Who is qualified for J1 Visa?

All aspiring participants for J1 Visa or Exchange Visitor Program must be a graduate of certain course that are listed in this program. Partipants must have;

 

1. GRADUATED IN FOUR(4)YEARS COURSE.

2. AT LEAST HAVE 1 YEAR WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE OR

3. AT LEAST FIVE (5) YEARS WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE, REGARDLESS OF THE COURSE (GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE) and

4. MUST SPEAK FLUENTLY, UNDERSTAND, WRITE INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH.

What is the age requirement for J1 Visa?
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age from the time of the application up to 30 years of age.
Is J1 Visa is a Work Visa? Do i need to under go P.O.E.A? What other Philippine Government Agency do I need to register with before I leave the country?

 

NO! J1 Visa is a "Training Visa" and definitley not a "work visa". 

 

NO, all participants that will leave the country under J1 Visa is not required to register under the P.O.E.A (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration) because P.O.E.A only requires if you will leave the country holding"work visa". However, all J1 Visa Participants bound for United States of America "must"register and take the Pre Departure Orientaion Seminar (P.D.O.S) at C.F.O (Commission on Filipino Overseas).

How many years is my stay in the U.S under J1 Visa? Can I work while I'm having a training with my host? Can I apply a work after my training?

 

Under J1 Visa, you may be granted for 3 months, 6 months, 12 months up to the maximum of 18 months. However, in our case and experience our sponsoring organization and its hosts grants our previous candidates for 12 months only.

 

No, you will not be given a privildge to work during your training.

 

No, however if your host will grant you a sponsorship and a chance to apply for H1 Visa. But it doesn't mean that you can relay from this sponsorship. You will still under go proper and legal process before the Embassy.

Who will pay for my transportation costs going to United States?
 
You will pay for your own tickets, back and forth.

Do the Host will bare my accommodation in the Training Site?

 

Your stipend/allowance will cover your accommodation during your stay in the Training Site.

Can I bring my partner? 

 

Yes, but your partner must obtain J2 Visa and pass the same process before the U.S Embassy.

How many hours do I train a week? 

 

You will be having a forty(40)hours training hours every week.

Where will I stay during my training?
You will stay at the place where your host provided for you, normally within the vicinity or nearby place of the training site.
 
Do I need to have specific skills?

 

Yes, you need to have specific skills in your field able for you to qualify the program and hosts requirement.

In the event that I cancelled my application would I get a refund for my fees?

 

Fareast imposes a refund policy. However; if you already recieve the Training Plan, Offer Letter and DS2019(Certificate of Eligibility)you cannot refund any payments you made. Please to remind that any up front fees will paid directly to the bank account of the Sponsoring Organization.

Do I need to be good in English to join the program?

 

Yes, you need to justify your self during the assessment that you can understand the instructions of your future host. Please bear in mind that you will be having your training in the United States of America where the only medium of communication is English.

How many years can I reapply for a  J1 visa, after my I finishes my training duration? 

 

After two (2)years, but there is no a solid guarantee for the re application. Again, you need to under go the normal process.
